The Men of Yellow continue to soar on Sunday Nights as the Phantoms captured their fifth victory of the season on Sunday, ending a 5-game Team America Winning Streak by the final score of 7-3. The Phantom bandwagon reached historic proportions during the middle stanza, as the Phantom Quartet of Brian Doctor, Brad Zehr, Matt Myers and Gordie Anderson combined to create a four-goal second-period up rising in the span of 108 seconds. The Four Goal incursion marked the highest production in a Phantom span, overcoming a three-goal assault in 2:05 that occurred several seasons ago. Despite the short meltdown by Team America, the Red and Blue put on a strong performance. The victory marks the second in a row against Bronze competition, the fifth straight overall by the Phantoms and increases the team's 2006 Winter record to an impressive 5-1. Matt Myers recorded a three-goal hat-trick for the Phantoms. Trent Kik tallied a pair of goals and Casey Rosenberg and Brian Doctor each staged the singleton. The Phantoms played without the services of Mike Shaver, who was suspended. Mike was the Official Phantom Photographer during the contest and snapped several great photos. Andy Roseart was also a scratch for the Phantoms. The Phantoms will return to action on Sunday, Dec. 3rd when the team tangles with Rogue River. It is rumored that Rogue River will undergo several changes for the team's roster during that contest. Game time is set for 5:00pm. Phantom Hockey...We Are The Phantoms.
