Lots of activity and positive slanted energy continue to abound in Phantom nation as the countdown is now on for the team's inaugural season at the Lazerskate Sportsplex in Cedar Springs. With the start of the club’s eighteenth season just weeks away, the Phantoms have increased their player roster number to ten skaters as the Yellow Shirts complete the roster for the upcoming 14-game campaign. On this date, longtime Phantom General Manager Kevin Wootton, in collaboration with Director of Hockey Operations Brad Zehr, has announced that the club has signed three more players for the upcoming season. Two franchise players and a former Phantom star have agreed to dawn the traditional yellow and black as the Phantoms begin what the team hopes will be a long run at Lazerskate. Matt Zehr and Gordie Anderson will be returning to the Phantoms, as well as former Phantom, Ground Zero, Mona Shores and Muskegon Community College standout Casey Rosenburg. Today’s signings of MATT ZEHR, GORDIE ANDERSON and CASEY ROSENBURG bring to 11, the number of players who the Phantoms have signed for the 2006 inaugural season at Lazerskate. Previously, the Phantoms announced the signings of NATE TYLER, TRENT KIK, TY COON, ANDY ROSART, MIKE SHAVER, ANDREW ERICKSON, BRAD ZEHR and goaltender KEVIN WOOTTON.
