Father's Day was a memorable one for the Phantoms, as the team registered its greatest Ice Hockey goal differential win in franchise history.  The Phantoms used goals from six different scorers to come away with a 12-0 victory against Bob's Bar to improve to 4-0 on the season.  The victory topped an August 16, 2011 Ice win in which the Phantoms destroyed DeBoer 13-2 (+11 goal differential) to etch a new record into the Phantom history books.  In addition, the shut-out victory by the Phantoms marks the fourth shut-out in now three ice hockey seasons for the Phantoms.  The Phantoms and Bob's Bar would play a relatively close game during the first two periods, with the Phantoms registering just two goals in the opening frame followed by three additional in the middle period to jump into a 5-0 lead after two periods.  In the third period, the Phantoms would pepper Bob's Bar with seven additional goals to blast the blue-birds to the tune of a 12-0 drumming.  Matt Myers would lead the Phantoms with four goals on the night (and an assist), while Matt Mead would record his first-ever Ice Hockey Hat-trick with three goals on the night.  Andrew Erickson would tally a pair, while Matt Zehr, Keith Moorman and Sean Wert would each tally singletons for the Phantoms.  Sean Wert would manage to fight through three separate injuries that occurred during the game.  Following a doctor visit on Monday morning, Sean Wert would learn that he separated his ACL-Joint a little and stretched out the ligaments during a second period pile-up in front of the Bob's Bar crease.  Sean Wert is day-to-day and questionable against Deke Squad on June 17th.  The Phantoms played without the services of Trent Kik (family), Tim Vanoverloop (family) and Wes Harmon (suspended).  Matt Myers was the only available sub and he played perfect to again lead the Phantoms with 5 points.  The victory improves the team's record to a league best 4-0.  In now four games, the Phantoms lead the league with the best goals against at 6 and reside with Buffalo Wild Wings as the second highest scoring team with 24 goals scored.  Deke Squad leads the league with 26 goals scored in just four games.  Both Deke Squad and the Phantoms will lock horns on Sunday, June 24th as the top offensive team meets the top defensive team in an 8:20pm showdown at Walker Ice & Fitness.
