The West Michigan Phantoms would not be able to secure much offense on Sunday, as the Yellow sweaters would strike with just two goals to fall to Deke Squad by the final of 4-2.  The Phantoms, who as of late have not be able to produce much offense, would strike with just one goal in the second period and one goal in the third period which would be too light too late for the Phantoms to fight their way back.  The Rivertown combination of Claude Sailiers and Wayne Vredenburg would strike with opening period goals for the Deke Squad to lift the Rivertown crew to a 2-0 lead over the Phantoms in the opening period.  In the second, the Phantom's hot-hand of Gordie Anderson would trim the game to just a single goal, as the Muskegon native would strike with his third goal of the season (assisted by Matt Zehr and Casey Rosenberg) to put the Phantoms on the board.  Less than two minutes later, the Deke Squad would manage to light the lamp with two goals in just over a minute (Brian Steil and Wayne Vredenburg) to increase the Deke Squad lead to 4-1 after the second period.  In the third, the Phantom's Tim Vanoverloop would climb to within a single point of this 100 Career Phantom Franchise points, as the Windemuller Electric boss would stage his first goal of the Winter 2011 season (assisted by Gordie Anderson) to bring the Phantoms back to within two goal at 2-4.  However, the late game offense would come too late for the Phantoms as the yellow and black would be forced to swallow a disappointing start to the game and in the end endure their second loss of the season and fall to 3-2-1 on the winter campaign.  On the game, the Phantoms would be ticketed with four minors (bench, Rosenberg, Kik and Rosenberg) for a total of eight minutes, while Deke Squad would endure just a single trip to the sin-bin (Vredenburg) during the contest.  As mentioned, the Phantoms fall to 3-2-1 on the season and have staged just five goals in the past two outings at Walker Ice & Fitness.  The team will return to action on Sunday, November 27th to square off against the undefeated Agape at 6:00pm.
