The West Michigan Phantoms were able to salvage the Fall 2007 season, as the team finished with a four-game winning streak to close out the regular season at the .500 mark at 5-5. Despite starting the season at 1-5, the team was able to overcome numerous roster issues and pick-up players to fill the void from those players who abruptly quit. The pick-up of Jason Devroy at the roster deadline was a huge boost for the Yellow Shirts and the return of longtime Phantom Brian Doctor was a key boost to a team that was struggling defensively. The Phantoms again looked to Ty Coon to give the Silver team a boost and just like he has for several seasons, Ty answered the call. Despite a very deplorable start of the season, the team as they have displayed for several years, was able to overcome the struggles and return to the greatness that has allowed the Phantoms to flourish for over 5 years. Late in the season, the team learned of several pick-ups for the upcoming Spring 2008 season to keep the Phantoms operating into the team's 22nd consecutive season. This season, the Phantom's struggles only brought the team closer together and during those struggles the team was forced to step it up and everyone did.
