Two players that have been apart of Phantom Hockey for several years are set to return to the team that they know all too well. Grandville standouts Matt Myers and Mike Shaver become the first pair of two pairs of players to be added to the team's roster for the upcoming 21st edition of Phantom Hockey. As was fore mentioned, the two have long been team subs and full time skaters since 2003. With the opening of four positions on the Phantoms for the upcoming Fall '07 run, the two quickly signed on and agreed to contact terms with the Phantoms. Matt Myers will ware his traditional #14 on the offensive line for the Phantoms, while Mike Shaver will ware the #28 sweater on the defensive line. One interesting fact with Myers and Shaver on the Phantoms is the fact that of the three Phantom championships, all three have occurred with Myers and Shaver on the team. During the most recent Winter '06 championship, Matt Myers tallied 10 goals and 6 assists for the Phantoms in a mere 7 games. As for Shaver, the freshly turned 21-year-old tallied 10 goals and 3 assists for Winter Champions. Every returning Phantom is excited to welcome both Matt and Mike back to the club. The remaining two players will be announced on Tuesday.
