Rivertown Sports held their 2006 Winter Play-offs on Saturday, January
21st and several current and former Phantom players captured
championships for their respective teams. Current Phantoms Ty Coon and
Andy Roseart were champions as the BioHazard defeated the Black
Dragons in the Brass Championship game. Current Phantom netminder
Kevin Wootton guided his Vipers to a Tin Championship defeating Ionia
Skateland 3-2 to capture the trophy. Former Phantoms Justin Calkins,
Keith Mooreman and Brent Vandonklaar were also apart of that Viper
championship squad. Kyle Friar who has been a team-mate of Kevin
Wootton for several years and has seen action in one Phantom game was
also apart of the 2006 Winter Viper team, along with Joe Weiland who has
seen substitute duties with the Phantoms in recent years. Congrats to
everyone who was successful on play-off Saturday.
