The top winning team, the high-tech, high-voltage West Michigan Phantoms, have floorboarded their way into the third week of the post-season having outscored their opponents 21-1 during the first two games. Under the astute auspices of team's inaugural season at Lazerskate, the Yellow Shirts have compiled their second longest consecutive winning streak in the team's 4 1/4 year history at 11 wins in a row, only one shy of tying the longest ever which is set at 12. On Sunday Night, the Phantoms paid tribute to Charlie Conway and Coach Gordon Bombay during the 6:00pm show-down against Black and Gold. During this special tribute, the Phantoms shed their traditional Yellow and Black in favor of a mixed combination of jersey colors honoring 'District 5.' The Phantoms managed to capture the victory 11-1. The Phantoms will remain undefeated in play-off play this season and will tangle with the Red Devils during this Sunday's 5:00pm showdown. This is a must-win-game for the Phantoms. Phantom Hockey...We Are The Phantoms.
