Having finally toppled the mid-point of this 2006 Winter Season at Lazerskate, the Phantoms have strengthened and otherwise lengthened their leadership estate atop the Silver division after a momuental 10-2 victory on Sunday against Rouge River. Under the auspices of team's inaugural season at Cedar Springs, the men of "Phantom Fever" have compiled a sterling 6-1 record during that ambitious game agenda. In the process, the Phantom squadron advanced and enhanced its overall winning streak to six games as the Yellow Shirts have not suffered a defeat since opening night back on October 15th. That 4-3 defeat to Rouge River on opening night marks the only smear on the team's Lazerskate resume. Yet, as the team displayed Sunday, the Phantoms have surged in the two most recent meetings against Rogue, outscoring them 18-4 in the process. Sunday's game featured a full Phantom bench for the first time this season, 11 skaters and a goaltender. The 10-2 verdict of Sunday's battle elevates the Phantoms as the sole-leader of the Silver Division and in the process, the Phantoms take over the titles as the Highest Scoring Team and the Best Defensive Team at Lazerskate. During the first seven games for the Phantom Barricade, the team has outscored its opponents 53-20.
