The Phantoms recorded its second straight victory on Sunday and improved to 2-1 on the season as the yellow shirts downed the Hockey Rats by the final of 11-1. The game marked the first of three games that the Phantoms will tangle against lower league competition. The final two installments of Bronze-league play will take place on November 26 against Woot's Team America and on December 17 against the Puck-Ups. The Phantoms 11-1 win against the Hockey rats was a complete team effort, as every Phantom (minus the goaltender) tallied at least a point. Gordie Anderson, Casey Rosenburg, Mike Shaver and Brad Zehr would each tally a pair of goals, while Andy Roseart, Nate Tyler and Matt Zehr would net the singleton. Trent Kik, the hero for the Phantoms at Rivertown, assisted on a pair of goals to record his first points of the season. Netminder Wootton turned aside 20 of 21 shots. The Phantoms will return to action on Sunday, during a very important clash with Rogue River at 6:00pm.
