Trent Kik would manage to sandwich a Kik-Slice between the two Czycyk goals to lift the Phantoms into a 3-0 lead. In the opening period, the Phantoms would manhandle Team Jager outshooting them 13-8. the second period, Jason Schemmel would strike with two goals in the span of 1:08 (both assisted by Tim Czycyk) to push the Phantom lead into 5-1. Team Jager would continue to experience a light bloom toward the end of the periods, as they would find the back of the net with 32 seconds remaining to close out the second period with the Phantoms in charge at 5-2. In the third, both teams would put on a scoring push during the opening three minutes. Team Jager would score just 22 seconds in to climb back into contention trailing 5-3. However, Jason Schemmel would answer back just 37 seconds later (assisted by Tim Czycyk) would regain the Phantom three-goal cushion at 6-3. Exactly one minute later, Team Jager would answer as Team Jager would mount their forth of the night to climb back to within two goals at 3-5. Tim Czycyk would net this third of the night with 6:31 remaining in the contest (unassisted) to increase the Phantom lead to 7-4. Trent Kik would stage the Phantom end of the final minute scoring blitz with his second of the contest with 28 seconds remaining. The Phantoms would fend off a very difficult penalty filled third period with two separate 2-4 disadvantages in the final five minutes of play. On the night, the Phantoms would be sentenced with 7 minors for 14 minutes, while Team Jager would be banished on five minors for 10 minutes. On the game, the Phantoms out shot Team Jager 30-22.
