In just two games this season, Chris Wietfeldt is leaving his name at Rivertown Sports. The Sparta native and second season rookie tallied a pair of goals on Wednesday to lead the Phantoms to a 5-4 victory against a very strong Blizzard team. For Wietfeldt, these two goals add to the two goals he scored against the Dragons during the Phantom South season opener two weeks ago. Chad Manning, Matt Zehr and Kyle Clark would manage to each stage singletons in the 5-4 victory against the Blizzard. Phantom South continues to experience some bonding issues, as the team continues to work out the merger of two teams to form this single franchise. Phantom South is expected to be well-gelled in a couple of weeks and look for the yellow shirts to really begin excelling here at Rivertown Sports. Wednesday's game mark the first game of the season for Phantom newcomer Jamie Dutot. Despite not netting a red light, Jamie did a fine game for the Phantoms. The team would like to thank everyone, including Trent Kik and Mike Shaver, for their great support of Main Street Pub following the game. A full table of Phantom players enjoying karaoke and supporting our official sponsor was a great boost and well liked by the Phantom front office and Main Street Pub. Phantom South will return to action on Wednesday, May 19 to face-off against the Good Ole Boys.
