The warning has been issued to the Phantoms, either start being competitive or the Silver teams days are numbered.Having been outscored 19-5 in the past two games and been outshot 84-59 in two straight contests, the Phantoms need to return to the style of play that has made us competitive season after season or dramatic changes will take place.If the roster that has the potential to be successful continues to fail, the team will face one of two options for next season. The first option would be to shift the team from Lazerskates Silver division back to a division at Rivertown in which the team will be competitive or the second option would be to shift as many Silver players as skill would allow down into the Bronze league at Lazerskate and onto the current Jr. Phantom squad. So far this season, not one single Phantom has displayed any sort of desire or any sort of drive.If players who are allowed to barrow jerseys and allowed to be somewhat relaxed on league fees can not show any ounce of passive and respect to the team than maybe it is time to either end the Phantoms long standing run or simply make the dramatic changes as stated above.There is no reason that with a roster as skilled as we have that we can not make a competitive game out of it.The complete embarrassment as displayed by the Phantoms so far this season is not a result of the teams goaltender, the teams defensive players or the teams offensive players, but a result of everyone.As the teams netminder said, I do not mind losing, but to be absolutely humiliated in two straight starts really gets to my skin.If it is a goaltending issue on the Silver team, let me know and I will be more than willing to change it.The team will revert back to last seasons roster for the teams next few games.In order to try to return the team to a level performance, Nate Tyler will return to defense and Casey Rosenberg will return to offense.The team will see the return of Brian Doctor to the defensive line starting March 30th and Chris Benedict will make his long awaited debut in the Phantom jersey on the Red line.While the arrival of these two players is expected to help, the team will need a stronger performance from of the balance of the team if the Phantoms hope to put this season on the correct path.
