Sixty Minutes after defeating Howie's during the opening game of the Phantom's play-off double-header, the team returned to action to take on the Eh Team. During the previous two encounters this season against the Eh Team, the Phantoms have captured victory. With the Phantoms needing only a single victory to advance to the Silver Championship game, the team was ready and eager to capturing the clinching victory. Trent Kik would tally the lone goal for the Phantoms during the first period. During the second period, the Phantoms would mount a 2-0 lead as Ty Coon would connect on a Casey Rosengberg pass. In the third period, Casey Rosenberg and Matt Zehr would tally goals for the Phantoms to continue the team's dominance as the lead swelled to 4-0. Yet, the Eh Team would manage to ruin the shut-out hopes for the Phantoms, as a Blue-Bird strike with 4:25 remaining in regulation would put the Eh Team on the board and notch their only victory during the contest. The Phantoms would take claim to a 4-1 victory and complete the three-game play-off round with a perfect 3-0 lead. The Phantoms would outshoot the Eh Team 26-14. The Phantoms would be ticketed for five minors for 10 minutes and the Eh Team would also be called on five minors for 10 minutes. Because of the team's success in defeating Howie's in the road jerseys, the team decided to also dawn the dark for the match-up against the Eh Team. In other Silver division action on the night, the Red Devils defeated the Revolution. Next week the Phantoms will have off. The Red Devils (2-0) will clash with Howie's (1-1) and the Revolution (0-2) will clash with the Eh Team (0-3). The Phantoms will return to action on Sunday, October 14th during the Silver Championship Game. While the opponent is yet to be announced, it is expected to be against the Red Devils. As a note, the Phantoms have yet to defeat the Red Devils this season. Phantom Hockey...We Are The Phantoms!
